The Best Quotes in To Trust and To Touch (New Gay Romance Book - Trauma and Hurt Comfort)

Hi precious peeps. :)

Today I want to share some cool quotes from my new book!

To Trust and To Touch is a story about a young traumatized man and a sweet single dad, and the love story they form even though one has severe trust and touch issues.

Basically, this is the story of Alex's healing journey.

It has dark parts, funny parts, sweet parts, devastating parts... it has all the feels.

I'm going to share some reader favorites, and then my favorite quotes. I am also going to share some images of the quotes in case you want to share them on social media. Feel free to share anything you want, I'd love to share Alex's story with more people.

I hope it gives someone some hope. Even if you're in the darkest place right now, like Alex was, there's always light down the line. You just have to keep going. :)

Readers' favorite quotes.

“As long as there are greedy, horny fuckers in the world, I’ll always be employed, my friend.”

“What must it be like to see life as a fun adventure and not some kind of sadistic nightmare that never ends.”

“The broken boy whom I just want to embrace and never let anyone close to ever again. I want to keep him away from everything bad in the world, even though I know I can’t, and even though he won’t let me.”

“I will hold his hand as long as he needs me to, and long after that if he’ll let me.”

“I never wanted this life, but I got it anyway, and now it has changed me.”

Alex, I promise, I’ll help you through this, all right? Please, if you just explain what’s wrong, I can help you.” “You shouldn’t have to try so hard,” I mutter. “I want to. For you, I would do anything.” Well, fuck.

“It’s too fucking early for this weird feeling in my chest. Too early to look at him and see my whole future there. Too early to already depend on his smiles and his words and his small touches.”

“This is unreal. Is this really my life?” “This is our life, baby. Our life.”

“Loving you is the easiest thing I’ve done in my life.”

My favorite quotes.

"It’s called Rainbow Homes. It was created so everyone would have a home, no matter who they are or what their story is, you know?”

Alex blinks. “Wow.”

"Are you my guardian angel, Sigh?"

“Alex… tell me what’s wrong. Did I do something? Did something happen?”

You fucking happened. You’re too good, and you’ll be gone soon."

"You look like a drawing."

"Thank you."

"Who drew you?"

"But you know what? I hate to think that we’re gonna let those assholes win, or that we’re gonna let them take the rest of our lives. I’d hate that, man.”

"Sometimes, I feel like the world is full of bigots and haters, and the only good people are so rare that you can throw a stone and it’s going to hit some asshole nine out of ten times.
With Sigh around, it’s probably five out of eight."

"I try to convey with my eyes that I mean every single word. He’s the only one I will ever want to do nothing with. The only one I want to be near and nothing else.

Even this, just talking, is perfect."

“And stop calling me angel. Have you seen my tattoos?”

“Yes, I’ve seen them. They cover those wings underneath, don’t they?”

“Smartass,” I add, for good measure, and give him another kiss."

"Are you getting crazy again? I thought we agreed you should only watch movies with really unromantic boyfriends.”

I snort. “Sorry, I can’t find those.”

“But Mommy left too,” she whispers. “Is everyone always gonna leave?”

What about you?

If you've read To Trust and To Touch, what were your favorites?

Here are some of the quotes in image form, if you'd like to share them on social media.

Thank you for reading my book. :)

to trust and to touch gay mm romance hurt comfort trauma age gap by vivi anne hunt

You can watch, but you can’t touch.

Alex performs at the infamous adult club, Kink World. He’s only in it for the money, and he has one rule: no touching. He doesn’t trust anybody that much. However, a chance encounter with a man who is the very epitome of the word safe may change all that. A man who runs a charity for abandoned queer kids, who has a five-year-old daughter, and who is unlike anyone Alex has ever met.

After years of focusing on raising his daughter and running his charity, Sigh’s status quo is shaken up when he meets a man covered in vine tattoos outside his brother's club. The young man stirs a longing he has ignored for far too long. However, he seems unwilling to let anybody in, so Sigh faces an insurmountable challenge to overcome these barriers and find some way to connect.

Will Alex ever let someone touch him? Will Sigh find somebody to fill the emptiness? Will the men find a way to heal together?
